Seminar Overview
As a part of our Field trip and seminar, we are required
to join to Educational Fieldtrip and seminars, Major and minor field trips.
Last January 23, 2016, we conducted our minor Field Trip and Seminar at the

seminar to start. In the morning session, there are 3 speakers who gave us
informative discussions and taught us a lot of things related to our course,
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, specifically, Web Development
and Graphic Designing, and how to survive our college life. In the afternoon
session, activities were conducted, Pitching Start-up competition and
hackathon. The activities were fun and we learn a lot from it. During the
Pitching Start- up competition, we were divided into 5 groups with each mentor
in it. My other classmates joined the hackathon. During the Pitching
competition, I was really nervous because I am not yet ready for pitching.
After the pitching by group, the mentor will choose only 2 best ideas/Pitchers
from the group. After the groupings, there are 10 students who were selected
during the groupings. They will going to pitch in front for 3 minutes with a
PowerPoint presentation and and 3 minutes for the Question and Answer portion.
After the top 10 pitchers pitch, the judges selected the top 3 winners. Also,
they announced all groups who joined the hackathon.
